Server Migration 2nd Attempt

The server migration at the beginning of the month was a fucking disaster and ended with us going with ‘Plan B’.

Plan B: Rigging the older server motherboard and hard drives in a 1U rack case in the most ghetto fashion.

Spending most your professional career in Information Technology; you tend to end up with OCD about your equipment; especially the mission critical servers.

Server Migration 2nd Attempt.

Took a few weeks but finally get to do this right!

I am finishing building / testing our new server this week and it’s going to be awesome!

I’m expecting this will happen in the next week, because all I have to do is copy the hyper-v instances; downtime should be less than 30 mins.

Notice of the downtime will be posted on the site prior to taking it offline

Because we have lots of nerdy members, server specs :)
